Free Youth Computer Camps starting June 8th at the Family Resource Center-Brandon


Computer CampsThroughout the summer months Giant Campus will be conducting weekly Youth Computer Camps at the Family Resource Center located @ 710 Oakfield Drive, Suite 153 in Brandon. These camps are fun and engaging for young minds. All of the campers will learn essential computer skills while working on fun projects.

Campers ages 6-18 will have a week of creativity, featuring engaging projects like building a website, animating creatures using Flash and creating video projects with Windows MovieMaker.

Date: June 8-12
Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Age Group: 6 to 8
Topic: Make Your Own Money and Spend it
Description of Camp: Campers will create money with their faces on it. Create projects throughout the week to earn their money. Spend their money at the end of the week on prizes provided.

Date: June 15-19
Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Age Group: 9 to 11
Topic: Create a Underwater Animation
Description of Camp: Campers will animate sea creatures in an underwater setting. They will burn the project to a CD to take home to share with family and friends.

Date: June 22-26
Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Age Group: 12 to 14
Topic: Create a Website
Description of Camp: Campers will create different web pages about their favorite things. They will burn the project to a CD to take home to share with family and friends.

Date: June 29-July 2

Age Group: 15 to 18
Topic: Creating a Video
Description of Camp: Campers will learn how to edit and enhance their video by adding music, animation, and much more…

Free Training for Microsoft Office 2007 and Windows Vista


Giant Campus offers technology training courses at the Family Resource Center from 9:00am to 4:00 pm each day. We are currently offering classes in Microsoft Office 2007 and Windows Vista.

If you can't attend one of our instructor-led classes, our convenient @Home self-study option will allow you to take classes online from your home. Each day we also offer walk-in help sessions. Feel free to just drop by for help on any of our courses or technology topics. Our instructors are happy to assist you!
