We have a wonderful network of Military Moms (Dads are invited, too) who get together with their kids on a regular basis outside of our office. These families go to various parks and get togethers, keeping busy and staying in the loop!
Monthly “Mom’s Night Out” means trying out a new restaurant or getting together at someone’s home for fun, fun, fun! If you are the spouse of active duty or retired military personnel and would like to meet this wonderful group of military spouses, please contact Gayle Cook @ 655-9281 or via e-mail gayle.cook.ctr@macdill.af.mil
“Embracing and Connecting Military Families with the Greater Brandon Community”
We were very excited to launch Operation Dove on July 9, 2008! The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce hosted a wonderful “Kick-Off” to this program that has been in the works since early 2007.
The benefits of Operation Dove to our military families are varied. The Brandon Chamber will maintain a list of members in our community who offer military discounts, a community calendar where members are encouraged to post events (especially those appealing to military), newcomer outreach program, school buddies, and probably the best of all…….assistance with childcare.
If you visit the Brandon Chamber of Commerce website, www.BrandonChamber.com you can access information on Military Discounts and the Community Calendar. Please visit the MacDill
